The Issue List proved inflexible and unclear, hindering our ability to accommodate the diverse workflows of each team. Given Space's focus on software development, we needed to create a adaptable plan.

The limited filtration made it difficult to locate issues or effectively narrow down search results
While customizable interface was the ultimate goal, the initial customisation fell short of this mark
You know how issue trackers need reports? Yeah, Space didn't have that

Organizations often duplicate code and start new projects from scratch. Having an issue tracker within a project simplifies management compared to using an external tool. This integrated approach is common in platforms like GitHub and GitLab, prioritizing code-centric workflows.

While the search box helps narrow down results, users should also be able to customize the displayed data to efficiently scan the issue list

Tired of clicking through issues one by one? Batch update is your new friend. Select multiple issues with a familiar UX pattern, and transform them instantly in one action
Sometimes, when you're looking at an issue and have no clue what it's about, preview mode lets you see the details with just one click and lightning-fast loading
Got some ideas while viewing the issue details? Add them as a checklist, they're not a burden! and turn them into sub-issues when you’re ready
